I worked at Safaricom Ethiopia as a Salesperson, where I played a key role in expanding the company’s customer base and promoting its mobile and digital services. In my first month, I successfully sold and registered over 200 SIM cards, consistently exceeding my sales targets. My role involved engaging directly with customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions, which helped build trust and loyalty toward the brand. Through hands-on experience in field marketing and customer service, I developed strong communication and persuasion skills, as well as a deeper understanding of Ethiopia's telecom landscape. This experience sharpened my ability to work under pressure, meet goals, and contribute to a fast-paced team environment.
I am currently working as an intern at Ashewa Technology Solutions S.C., specifically within the Ashewa Cloud Service team. During this internship, I’ve been gaining hands-on experience with cloud technologies and service deployment in a real-world environment. My responsibilities include assisting in the setup and management of cloud infrastructure, supporting platform users, and learning best practices around scalability, data security, and system reliability. This opportunity has allowed me to deepen my understanding of cloud computing principles and how enterprise-level cloud solutions are built and maintained. It’s also enhanced my teamwork, problem-solving, and technical communication skills as I collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Bahir Dar University, where I built a solid foundation in software development, computer systems, and networking. During my studies, I was actively involved in various academic and practical projects that helped me apply theoretical knowledge to real-world problems.
Abugida Kids Entertainment App is a mobile application I developed using Flutter, designed to provide a fun and interactive learning experience for children. The app blends education and entertainment to support early childhood development, particularly focusing on kids aged 3 to 8 years. The app includes engaging content in both Amharic and English, making it culturally relevant for Ethiopian children while promoting bilingual learning.
